The growing importance of intellectual property in mining has been widely discussed in recent years. Next week, Fisher Adams Kelly will bring the issue to one of the sector’s largest gatherings, the Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition.
We will be using a stand at this major industry meeting to showcase some of the Australian companies in the sector who have employed intellectual property protection to maintain a competitive edge and develop new revenue streams. We hope to encourage debate around this issue, and to that end will be distributing a detailed information sheet, featuring practical tips and sector case studies from our stand.
I will be in Mackay for the Exhibition, along with my colleagues Paul Thompson, our Head of Trade Marks; and Fraser Smith, a leading member of our Engineering team. If you will be attending QME 2014 and would be interested in meeting with us, or learning more about intellectual property protection in mining and engineering, please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org or +61 7 3229 2655.
