Ernie has 20 years patent and trade mark experience specialising in computer software, telecommunications, mechanical and electrical fields of technology. Ernie is a dual registered U.S and Australian attorney and has experience negotiating and drafting licensing agreements with U.S companies, as well as drafting validity and infringement opinions concerning U.S patents. Additionally, Ernie has drafted and prosecuted patents in numerous countries around the world for a wide range of clients, including Motorola, OneSteel and CSIRO.
During his career, Ernie has worked at the General Motors Proving Ground as a Project Engineer and at the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology in the field of technology transfer. He has also held roles as Licensing Director for Technology Transfer and Associate Patent Counsel at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Ernie joined Fisher Adams Kelly in 2003.
