Fraser has a well rounded and comprehensive practice built up over more than a decade. In addition to his specialisation in trade marks and registered designs, Fraser has an electrical engineering degree and has extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution in this field, including in relation to mining technologies, computer hardware, software, communications, embedded systems, control systems and signal processing.
Alongside four years Intellectual Property law experience gained prior to joining Fisher Adams Kelly, Fraser acquired some particularly advantageous knowledge during his postgraduate studies. Specifically, he was instrumental in developing a commercialisation project for a start up incubator company which equipped him with a thorough understanding of a business’ commercialisation and Intellectual Property needs throughout the innovation development life cycle.
Fraser is adept at working co-operatively with individuals and companies, both large and small, to recognise, secure, and manage their intellectual property. He has an acute understanding of the competitive edge that proprietary technology and innovation affords his clients and dedicates himself to the establishment and preservation of this commercial advantage.
